I have been with the Greenville County School district for almost 5 years. Prior to working for the school district I was in Law Enforcement, where I worked computer crimes, including child solicitation cases (yes, I was that cute little girl and boy online) and child pornography cases. I was on the South Carolina Internet Crimes Against Children’s Task Force and the U.S. Custom’s local task force.
I have a passion teaching students and adults how to properly use the internet and talk about the dangers we sometimes put ourselves in by posting images and information on social media or sharing by other means on the internet.
My presentations include sexting, cyberbullying, internet predators, posting personal information and the dangers of certain apps we and our children utilize on our cell phones. I discuss ways to anonymously monitor what your children are doing on their cell phones.
The internet is a great and exciting tool, as long as it is used properly!
