Attendees will also learn how to use Student Transfer Cards for writing prompts and practice. This is also includes hands-on activities and additional resources that teachers can use in the classroom immediately to aid students in transferring their skills to their reading and writing.

**For teachers that use Reading Horizons Elevate** This segment provides detailed information on how to use decodable text to build students' fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and confidence. Attendees will learn how to use activities before reading, during reading, and after reading to build both decoding and language comprehension skills using hte RH Elevate Decodable Passages, RH Elevate Reading Library, and authentic text. Attendees will also learn how to assess fluency and comprehension using decodable and leveled text and how to determine if students need additional practice. Finally, attendees will learn how to guide students through the last stage of transfer using grade-level, content area text to increase students' decoding and comprehension skills.

Attendees will receive explicit instruction and a hands-on overview of the Reading Horizons method and learn key program instruction processes.
