Teachers will learn how to utilize this assessment tool in assisting students for a successful transition into adult life, assessing student’s mastery of skills within the key skill areas identified by the IDEA guidelines for Indicator 13.
**This session is for ELEMENTARY ID Moderate Special Education Teachers.** During this hour long training, participants will be provided best practices and examples of visual supports to use in an elmentary ID Moderate setting to include visual schedules, first/then boards, low tech communication visuals, and basic environmental print. Participants will have time to share resources and collaborate with one another.
**This session is for ELEMENTARY ID Moderate Special Education Teachers.** In this 3 hour long session, elementary ID Moderate teachers will be introduced to the STAR Program. STAR teaches children with various disabilities critical skills that they will need throughout their lives. Instructional methods of discrete trial training, pivotal response training and teaching functional routines form the instructional basis of this comprehensive program for children with disabilities.
