Special education service providers will learn the transfer procedures, how to apply the procedures to in-state and out-of-state transfers, and how to complete the processes in Enrich. Participants will also learn the IEP amendment procedures, correct steps for completing an amendment in Enrich, and the next steps after an amendment is completed.
**This session is for Special Education SELF-CONTAINED Classroom Teachers.** Participants will learn how to effectively use classroom paraprofessionals to provide increased instructional time. Learn how to establish clear and consistent communication and ensure paraprofessionals are an integral member of the instructional team.
Participants will learn about each high school exit option for students with disabilities. This session will also provide in-depth information of the SC High School Employability Credential including required courses and curriculum, best practices for IEP development, procedural requirements, school-based businesses, and available resources.
**THIS SESSION IS FOR SECONDARY SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS.** Transition assessment training for Secondary Teachers using Brigance . Teachers will learn how to utilize this assessment tool in assisting students for a successful transition into adult life, assessing student’s mastery of skills within the key skill areas identified by the IDEA guidelines for Indicator 13.
**THIS SESSION FOR GATE ELEMENTARY RESOURCE TEACHERS.** Teachers that will serve in Elementary Resource / Inclusion settings will have the opportunity to learn best practices with resource and inclusion settings, structuring the day, using progress monitoring tools, and co-teaching methods.
