**This session is for ELEMENTARY Special Education Teachers.** Participants will learn how to utlize the FastBridge program to screen and progress monitor students as well as pull reports to analzye and communicate growth.
Participants will get an overview on co-teaching fundamentals. We will discuss the 6 models of co-teaching, planning with a co-teacher, and how to use variability & differentiatiation in an inclusive setting.
In this hour breakout Blueprint Session, participants will be provided all the components necessary to successfully teach students in an ID Moderate elementary classroom. Topics will cover curriculum, behavior, compliance, classroom management, data collection, communication, visual supports, inclusion, and overall best practices for these specific classrooms.
This training emphasizes and teaches different levels of responding to crisis situations. Specifically, positive behavior interventions, de-escalation techniques and other strategies for early interventions are taught. Participants will be able to show competency in using strategies to de-escalate students who exhibit problem behaviors at different levels.
**THIS SESSION IS FOR GATE ELEMENTARY SELF CONTAINED TEACHERS.** GATE teachers that will serve in Elementary ED self-contained settings will have the opportunity to work with experienced ED teachers in the district to learn best practices for classroom structure, working with paraprofessionals, and daily routines.
**THIS SESSION IS FOR PRESCHOOL AND ELEMENTARY SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS.** Special education teachers will learn the principles of the Social Thinking curriculum. Social Thinking is a language and cognitive-based methodology that focuses on the dynamic and synergistic nature of social observation, social interpretation, social problem solving, and social communication skills, all of which require self-regulation.
Participants will learn how to utlize FBA data/results to create a meaninful and thorough behavior intervention plan (BIP) for students. Resources and supports will be discussed and shared regarding both common and unique BIP interventions and accommodations.
