Skill Building with NoRedInk Modules: Teach, Practice, Write, Extend
**This session is open to schools with NoRedInk.** Learn to use NoRedInk Modules to provide meaningful opportunities to practice and assess progress. In this session we'll review a NoRedInk unit cycle, walk through a sample NoRedInk Module, and provide best practices for using Modules. You will also have time to explore Modules that you might want to use this school year.

Reading Nonfiction: A strategy to help students connect deeper to text
Reading Nonfiction uses the Nonfiction signposts and 3 big questions from Kylene Beers and Bob Probst's book Reading Nonfiction. This research based strategy allows students to connect with text using analysis to infer the author's perspective and identify bias. In addition, this strategy also helps students synthesize information so that they can express their ideas and thoughts in writing.

**This session is open to schools with NoRedInk.** Learn how to create a Guided Draft to support students as they draft an essay. In this session we'll walk through the features of a Guided Draft, review sample results and discuss next steps, and explore how to use a Guided Draft in a unit cycle.
